A Winter Day
It was a snowy day, where snow fell like salt.
As it seasoned the floor, the flower withered down to its spine.
The flower was always sitting on the grassy floor, as it is now.
The flower was sad, withered, and stared at me,
Asking for help and giving me a side-eye look.
The grass was wet, and the backyard fields were muddy,
Making me shiver down my spine.
I kept writing, as my ink froze every letter I wrote.
The flower slowly bloomed as the rushing of sugar came down the sky,
Ending the bitter, sad, and salty taste from the over pouring of salt.
The sky was present with its colors of the palette,
As the sun woke up from its nightmares.
As it was, it was a sunny day.
