Activities of Daily Living/Independent Living Skills Training

** Independent Living Skills Training prevents premature placement into assisted living and nursing homes. Working-age adults who complete Independent Living Skills training are able to return to gainful employment and often discontinue disability benefits. **

Our group sessions are a relaxed yet focused atmosphere featuring “low tech”, common-sense solutions for making life more livable despite visual impairment. As you advance through the sessions you will have an opportunity for individual attention within the class setting or in private sessions if you choose.

When dealing with the frustrations of visual impairment, it is comforting to be able to spend time with other people with similar eye conditions and share the challenges and the SOLUTIONS for those frustrations.

Independent Living Skills Training involves learning new techniques for daily living tasks such as:
