Transition Program 

Program Description:  The Transition Program is designed to assist blind and visually impaired youths to be ready to work, go to college, or attend a technical school upon completion of high school.  

The Transition Program addresses the expanded core curriculum, orientation and mobility, social interaction skills, independent living skills, recreation and leisure skills, career education, use of assistive technology, related services, community experiences and the development of employment and other post-school adult living objectives. 

The participant meets one evening each week (Tuesday from 3:00p.m.-6:00p.m.) to work on varies skills.  The participant will get the chance to participate in a social activity the 1st Saturday of each month. 

This Program also includes a three week summer camp program. This includes working on activities of daily skills, job shadowing experiences, and recreational activities Monday through Friday. 
 

We offer complete rehabilitation for independent living for Visually Impaired Persons.
