Communication Skills Braille
Braille Are you dealing with vision loss but still want to live independently?
Do you want your self esteem back? Would you like to be able to mark your clothes, read your own prescriptions take care of your own finances and label your own food… then we have the class for you!
It’s time to learn Braille!
Our center offers 3 fun and convenient Braille Courses:
Quickie Class: This class is designed for the clients that only wish to learn Braille basics. Braille basics teach the Braille alphabet to allow clients to mark clothing, food, prescriptions, and manage their own finances. This is also a fun class for those interested in recreational games like playing cards, BINGO or other pastime favorites.
Braille I/II: These classes open your eyes to a whole new way of reading! Braille I and II teaches clients how to read their favorites books, recipes, sports magazines, financial reports… sky’s the limit.
Jumbo Braille: This class allows clients affected by neuropathy to still learn the Braille language. Jumbo Braille is an enlarged version of the typical Braille system but with dots that are spaced father apart for easier reading.
The success and graduation of these classes depends on YOUR passion, dedication and commitment to live independently and read again!
